The international kite festival of San Vito has become an institution in Sicily, and this May it will go for its seventh edition, colouring the sky of San Vito Lo Capo from Wednesday 20 to Sunday 24 May. Every year the event bring many tourists, kite professionals and enthusiasts in town, and locals are happy to join as well.
This year’s slogan of the event is “The kites say NO to all the barriers”: the festival will indeed symbolically unite the two worlds of the kites and the world of the disabled with the hashtag created for the festival: #zerobarriere #disabilinolimits.
Dozens of kites of all shapes and colours, from all over the world will be admired by young and old alike, but there will be also workshops created specifically for the kids, and entertainment events that will take place throughout the week.
The Kite Festival also reserves fascinating evening shows with magnificent kite contests, fluorescent colours and decorations on the beach.
